Council Member Paschall Submits Testimony in Support of the Fairness for All Marylanders Act
Thursday, February 6th, 2014 @ 9:03AM
Council Member Patrick Paschall submitted testimony to the Maryland Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee in support of SB 212, the Fairness for All Marylanders Act of 2014, which would add statewide protections on the basis of gender identity to Maryland’s anti-discrimination laws. Patrick was proud to introduce the Hyattsville Human Rights Act, the first non-discrimination law in Hyattsville’s history and making Hyattsville the first city in Prince George’s County and the first small jurisdiction in the state to pass transgender-inclusive non-discrimination protections. Importantly, the Hyattsville City Council passed the Hyattsville Human Right Act unanimously.
